February

I'm actually pretty fond of some of the macro photos from last month, and I think I'll keep working on them. My favorite by far is the ice cube, but I think I'm also very drawn to the long line that goes into the distance. That's a good thing, but I need to be aware of it more before it becomes overused. Also, aside from the grading, there's really only one 'slice of life' photo, and while that is an accurate representation of how much of a life I have, I think I'd like to get a few more of those. I've been desaturating and partially desaturating many of my photos, and I'm not sure why. Maybe I need to go flower hunting and really get some eye-popping colors.

Also, it totally looks like that woman in the painting is giggling over the penis and vagina shot.

I like your macro shots too--you've totally pushed me to look around in my world for things that would be interesting to take macro shots of.

I like that woman in the mosaic too. In fact, what I like about that picture is the fact that she looks like she's snickering at just about anything you might locate her near.

I don't mean to dis anyone's subject choice, but I don't think you should go out of your way to do flower pictures. It's too easy--if you get it in focus, of course it's going to look good. I mean, a flower now and then can be nice (I've certainly done it), but your subjects have always been much more interesting and, well, I think you should just keep that in mind.
